Spaces that hold their quiet.
A small studio in Providence designing homes, workplaces, and civic spaces where light, material, and restraint do the work. We take a handful of projects a year, and we finish them properly.

How we work
Slow at the start, certain at the end.
Listen
We spend the first weeks understanding how you actually live or work — before a single line is drawn.
Draw
Options, models, and material studies. We iterate in the open, with you, until the shape is undeniable.
Build
We stay through construction — detailing, site visits, and the hundred small decisions that make it feel inevitable.
“They gave us a house we didn’t know how to ask for.”
— Homeowner, Benefit Street
The studio
A practice built on patience.
Marlow & Field was founded on a simple bet — that fewer, deeper projects make better buildings. We are eight people who draw, model, and detail everything in-house, and we work only with clients who want to be part of the making.
Our work has been recognized by the AIA and published in Dwell and Architectural Record — but the measure we care about is whether a space still feels right ten years on.
